Dr. Roscoe Scott attended Southwest Missouri State University as an
undergraduate, where he majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. Before
completing his degree he was accepted into the University of Missouri -
Kansas City School of Dentistry. He completed his degree in December 1974 as
a member of the Early Graduate Program which was for the top portion of his
dental school class.
Dr. Scott joined the Air Force after graduating
from dental school and was stationed at Randolph AFB (San Antonio) Texas for
two years. He was privileged to be colleagues there with five dental
specialists, allowing for some excellent mentoring during that time.
Dr. Scott began practicing in Overland Park in
January 1977 when he joined Dr. Michael Kahler in private practice. For the
next 9 years they practiced in both Overland Park and Louisburg, Kansas. In
1986 they moved the practice to its present location, practicing exclusively
in Overland Park.
Dr. Scott is licensed in Kansas, is a member of the
American Dental Association, the Kansas Dental Association, and the Fifth
District Dental Society. He is past president of he Kansas Society of
Orthodontics for General Practitioners and is a member of the Academy for
Computerized Dentistry.
When not at his practice, Dr. Scott enjoys playing
tennis and spending time at his vacation home at Table Rock Lake with his
wife, Rhonda. They are regularly joined there by their sons, Curtis - and
wife Carrie, Brad, and David.
